FAQs/How to use: if you are currently using steroid treatments to control your eczema we recommend that you slowly decrease the use of steroids while using Salveez. It will depend on the severity of your eczema on how long it takes until you no longer require them. Estimates range from 2 weeks to two months.
1. Can I use Salveez on broken skin?Yes you can! Salveez is safe to use on broken skin, cuts, grazes and open wounds. Salveez works as a balm, protecting the irritated area, stopping the itch and thereby allowing the skin time to heal.
2. Can I use Salveez on my baby's face?
Yes, Salveez is safe to use on external areas of the body for babies, young children and adults.
3. How often do I need to use Salveez?
You should apply Salveez at least twice daily, morning and night, and in addition whenever itchy. This is a natural product and can be used as often as needed.
4. How long will Salveez last?
Salveez is preserved through beeswax, without water, so will not 'go off".
5. Can I use the product if I am allergic to bees?
OUR PRODUCT CONTAINS BEESWAX, DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO BEE PRODUCTS. ALLERGIES TO BEE VENOM MAY NOT NECESSARILY INDICATE AN ALLERGY TO BEESWAX. PLEASE CHECK BEFORE USE. ALWAYS PATCH TEST A PRODUCT BEFORE USE.
6. Is there a limit to how many jars I can buy?

7. How should I store my Salveez?
Dark glass helps by not letting light into the product. Store in a cool place. And always screw the lid back on.
8. What is eczema?
Eczema stems from excess dryness of the skin, the skin feels tight and becomes itchy, when scratched the skin cracks; these cracks become highways for bacterial infections causing painful atopic dermatitis that require topically applied remedies.
9. Why is Salveez a thicker cream than say a moisturizer?
Salveez is emulsified using beeswax. For eczema you need a barrier cream that will protect the broken skin allowing it to heal. By putting Salveez on the area you are creating the barrier needed whilst sesame oil and the herbs work on healing the skin.
10. How much Salveez do I need to use?
Salveez is, as the name suggests, a salve which means that it should be applied in a thicker layer than say a moisturising lotion. For severe rashes, it should be smeared over to seal the area, calming and allowing healing to occur.
11. Why do you use payments via paypal?
Using paypal means your payment is immediate. As soon as you pay via paypal we are messaged confirming the money is in our account. This means that your purchases are sent the same day as we receive the notification. Makes it faster. Using internet banking we have to wait until your payment is cleared before we see it into our bank account thus delaying the sending of your purchase.

13.Do you use organic ingredients?
Currently Salveez is being made with 35% certified organic ingredients. It is our aim to increase this percentage. We are always trying to source organic ingredients over non-organic.
14. What are INCI names on your ingredient list?
INCI stands for International Nomenclature for Cosmetic Ingredients. The INCI name ensures that cosmetic ingredients are consistently listed from product to product using the same name. Using the worldwide standardized INCI name means that the consumer can correctly identify the ingredient used. INCI names vary from the common, latin or scientific names used for that ingredient.
15. What method of delivery do you use?
We currently send pottles via NZ mail. These are wrapped in bubble wrap to ensure your purchase arrives safely. We always send you a confirmation email telling you when your parcel has been sent. It should not take more than 2-3 days to reach you. If you do not receive your Salveez after 4 days please advise us via email to orders@salveez.com
16. Can I use Salveez on my pet's body?
Yes. Dogs love the soothing affect of Salveez. Supervise your pet for 15 minutes after application, licking off the salve could diminish it's effect.
